      Package Report

An overview of the TMS Package Report, explaining its functionality.

      Version: 1.0
      Date: 15 Jan 2026
      Owner: TMS Product Team

      Summary

Package Report.png This release introduces the TMS Package Report, a comprehensive package-level operational report designed to serve as a single source of truth for all package-related data across the TMS lifecycle.

The report provides a consolidated view of operational, shipment, customer, hub, delivery, trip, and financial attributes associated with each package (AWB). Each row in the report represents one unique Package AWB, ensuring package-level data granularity and traceability.

The primary objective of this report is to improve end-to-end visibility of package movement from creation through pickup, transit, delivery, or Return to Origin (RTO). It enables Operations, Last-Mile Operations, Fleet Planning, Customer Support, Finance, and Analytics teams to monitor execution performance, analyze delivery outcomes, investigate exceptions, and support management reporting.

By consolidating data that previously required navigation across multiple modules, the report reduces manual effort, improves investigation turnaround time, and enhances operational transparency.

      How It Works?

The TMS Package Report works by pulling relevant data from existing shipment, package, and trip records already available in the system. No additional configuration is required for users who have access to reports.

      Workflow

      1. The system collects package-level information as shipments progress through different stages of execution.
      2. This data is consolidated into a single report view within the TMS Reports section.
      3. Users can apply basic filters, such as date range or package status, to narrow down results.
      4. Users can export the report for offline analysis or sharing with internal stakeholders.

This approach ensures that users always view the most up-to-date package data without impacting ongoing operations.

      Technical Details

The TMS Package Report is built on top of existing TMS data models and follows standard reporting practices to ensure consistency and reliability.

      Key Technical Highlights

      • Report Type: Operational / Analytical Report
      • Data Sources: Shipment records, Package records, and Trip execution data
      • Data Refresh: Real-time or near real-time, based on system updates (30 minutes)
      • Access Control: Governed by user roles and permissions configured in Settings
      • Output Format: On-screen table view with CSV export capability

The report does not introduce any changes to core workflows or execution logic. It is purely a read-only view intended for monitoring, analysis, and decision support.
