Workforce Throughput Report: GRN & Return GRN Activities
Version: 1.0
Date: January 14, 2026
Owner: Omniful Product Team
Summary
The Workforce Throughput Report now includes two new activity types to track inbound processing more accurately:
- GRN
- Return GRN
By capturing processing time and units handled in these activities, the report quantifies inbound performance through duration, unit volume, and potential units per hour at the user level. These activities follow the same throughput calculations used for existing activities, with activity-specific rules for Start Time, End Time, and Activity ID mapping.
How It Works
Start Time Capture — Bins Enabled Hubs
- Start Time of the activity is recorded when the user scans the first item and associates it to a bin within the GRN/Return GRN.
Start Time Capture — Bins Disabled Hubs
- Start Time of the activity is recorded when the user scans the first item within the GRN/Return GRN.
End Time Capture — Bins Enabled Hubs
- If the user completes the GRN, End Time is recorded at the last bin assignment (immediately before the user clicks “Complete GRN”).
- If the user does not complete the GRN, End Time is set to the last scan and bin assignment immediately before a continuous 6-hour inactivity window within that GRN.
End Time Capture — Bins Disabled Hubs
- End Time is recorded at the last scanned item processed (immediately before the user clicks “Mark as Complete”).
Other Report Fields
- All remaining columns continue to be calculated using the existing formulas in the Workforce Throughput Report.
Technical Details
| Activity Type | Activity ID |
|---|---|
| GRN | GRN ID |
| Return GRN | Return Processing ID |
Notes & Limitations
- The 6-hour inactivity rule applies for bin enabled hubs only when the GRN is not marked as complete.
- This is a reporting enhancement only; existing throughput formulas for other activity types remain unchanged.
